In addition to the community practices, there are some practices
which can help us in our healing. Note: these are merely suggestions.
These are not items for us to judge or even assess others with in
any way. We each have our own individual path and timing.
All Community Practices
Just as the community practices can create an environment for healing,
so all of those practices can be turned inward to create an inner-environment
for healing.
Courage
By courage, I mean that sometimes we need to face a fear to heal.
We need to do something that is scary. Allowing ourselves to heal
takes courage.
Moderation
We can easily ignore our triggers, rather than heal them, by over-eating,
over-drinking, even over-exercising or being so focused on work
or a project that we tune everything else out. This can be a form
of self-medication, which we might call anaesthesia. Anaesthesia
has it's place, but to give a medical analogy: if you scratch the
courting of your eye, and go to the eye doctor, one of the first
things they might do is put a numbing drop in that I. The relief
from pain is an imaginable. It feels so good. But the eye doctor
won't give you any more after that, because once that eyeis numb,
it can no longer signal back to the brain that needs healing. So
the anesthesia can provide some relief and sometimes that's good,
but too much anesthesia and nothing can heal. Sometimes we need
a break from healing; we can only do so much at a time, but it's
just something to be mindful of.
Sustainability
The activities of caring for the earth - recycling, composting,
conserving water and energy - these things help us to be connected,
reconnected, with the oneness of all that is, with our Divine Nature.
Being of Service
Being of service takes us out of victim mode and puts us into gratitude.
Unfortunately, as far as is known right now, there is no way to
magically heal ourselves all at once. So, in the meantime, in between
sessions, why not help someone else, our mind off our troubles,
release are healing to the divine and be of service.
Learning about Your self and Your Self
The more tests we take, the better we understand things like our
brain, our personality, our preferences, our tendencies, etc. This
can aid enormously in accepting ourselves and others. Some suggestions
are: Aura Colors Test, Meyers Briggs, Chinese Elements, Astrology,
Enneagrams, and Human Design. There are others, of course. They
can be fun and helpful.
