How can a community help people to heal? If some environments are
more conducive to healing than others, surely the people, and how
they interact with and treat each other, are a major part of that.
Since it is fear that caused the separation between ourselves and
our Divine nature, it seems to make sense that we must feel safe
in order to let go of that fear, in order to reconnect.
This is a personal and individualized topic. Obviously, what is
safe to one person may not be to another, and the same with feelings
of un- safety.
Also, our disconnections occur at different times in our life,
when we have different needs and therefore different requirements
in order to feel safe.
The earlier the separation in question, the greater the need for
safety for healing to occur, and the more elaborate, for lack of
a better word, the details of what is needed for a feeling of safety.
I would like to could call a 'healing community' a community that
helps people to heal. A community of healers is not necessarily
a healing community, hence the need for this distinction.
I believe that a commonality of understanding and beliefs about
healing, and using the community
practices I've listed, provide a potential framework to create
environments that are more conducive to healing.
